About

Toby White

Toby White left Samuel Whitbread Community College, Shefford, Beds, UK after completing an A-Level course. He is now working at Bedford College as an IT Services Apprentice.

He likes music and likes to see the success that musicians and bands have and the fact that they enjoy what they are doing (in theory at least). He wanted to help in that process by being able to distribute and market their music online.

With his knowledge of computer systems and Internet technology he has been able to create the backbone of much of what Death Cap Records has to offer and with his business knowledge hopes to manage an effective entity.

His biggest influence is David Geffen of the renound Geffen Records. It all started with a documentary on the TV!

Kirsty Williams

Kirsty Williams joined the company in March 2009 to help with reviews, gigs and general support and advice and has already proven to live up to her expectations.

Be prepared to hear more from her on the Forum where she will be posting reviews for bands and gigs.

Chris McLean

I have known Chris since High School. As far as I know he's always been good at art and design and that's why I've chosen him to become a part of the team. He's going to help out with any jobs required across Death Cap Records.

He's also willing to do designs for others, at a reasonable price, and is happy to be contacted at the address below.

Company

Death Cap Records was devised in mid 2006 when Toby White had decided that he wanted to pursue his interest in music further. He had wanted to work with some local bands in his area and could see no better way of doing this than starting his own record label to promote and distribute the music of the above said bands. He did not launch the project off the ground though until Autumn/Fall 2006.

This company will stay independent as long as it can, if not indefinitely, and will not accept any offer to be taken over unless that offer benefits the company 100%

Death Cap Records became a private Limited company (Ltd) on 10th October 2008.

Name

Toby White came up with the name after finding a deadly poisonous mushroom named 'Death Cap'. He realised at the time that it would be a good name and thought he would be able to use it for this enterprise.
