Midnight Lycan Party

Midnight Lycan Party are from Stoke-on-Trent and formed in late summer 2006. With influences coming from 60’s psychedelic garage to 80’s goth and psychobilly, 70's punk to 90’s rock they hold a very unique sound in their hands. Bored with the modern day music movement they decided to show the world some kind of a change. MLP are Paul Baggaley, Lee Stubbs and Matthew Bowker, (consisting of just a basic rock’n’roll line up of drums, bass and guitars) who met and formed at Burslem College. Paul and Matthew first met in 2003 and were in various bands together before deciding to break away and form a new band, which included Lee after meeting in 2004. Midnight Lycan Party was born the following summer.
In 2007 after recording a demo CD at Prism Studios, Midnight Lycan Party appeared on the radio, performing three live tracks and a short interview. Then went on to play gigs in Wolverhampton and Brighton supporting Vile Imbeciles (ex-Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster and Neil’s Children members new band), which then led to a main support slot at the Sugarmill in Stoke-on-Trent with the Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster in August 2007.
Shortly after this gig Midnight Lycan Party were forced to take a couple of months out from playing due to a Matthews re-occurring knee injury. After his recovering they went back into the studio to put into practice a heavily discussed new take on their approach to songwriting and structures.
In 2008 MLP went back to Prism Studios to record their lastest EP, 'Second Wave OF Seduction', August saw them come first in a contest to support The Damned on their 2008 UK tour and got the big support slot in Scarborough at the mean time they are continuing to gig around the UK to promote this EP.
The band are currently in the process of recording a 10 track album to be released through Death Cap Records which will be available in early 2009.
The band changed their name from Blind Pilot to Midnight Lycan Party in January 2009.
